Why do i have 5 hearts

It doesn’t refill to the max when you lose them though.. only refills one at a time after you lose them all, completely stupid design

Sololearn is continually experimenting with the rules. A couple months back they increased the number of hearts from three to five for everybody.

If it immediately refilled 5 hearts as soon as you lost them all, wouldn't that effectively be infinite hearts?

I think it's like a bucket with a faucet that's always running. If the bucket's full, it can't get any fuller. If it's partially or completely empty, it refills at the rate of the faucet.

Rain I thought that it will be at 1/5 hearts forever since it does not show a timer, that was what I’m talking about, seems like the hearts still accumulate.. you just don’t know how long it’s gonna take

Ah. Gotcha. I think someone said 3 hours per heart, but don't quote that. I never confirmed it. I'd have to lose one on purpose and watch for it.

When I lose a heart, I know it's because I'm getting sleepy, so I stop. When I wake, it's recharged, but I don't know exactly how long it took.

When I tap the heart icon, it just says "You have 5 hearts. Take on your next challenge!"
