The answer for that question depends on your use. Python is generally better for computer programs and applications and well-known as an easy language to learn. JavaScript is mostly used in Web Development and known as the most used language for interactive processes on websites. On the HTML <script> tag, you have to use JavaScript as it's the default language for web-related HTML scripts.

The thing is that python and Javascript are high level programming languages, and yes they are similar to each other, however they are used in different fields and it's up to you in which filed you work. If we are talking about web development python is used in backand and js in front-end, but it also has nodejs for backend. So first you choose an appropriate language for your profession
