What is the Awarding XPs and Penalising XPs rule in Solo Learn?

I have noticed many times that after a challenge, if you win you get, let say, 3 xp but if you lose, you penalises like 21 xp deducted. Note that it is not the matter of every time but from time to time.

Actually depends on language xp not level xp. Under profile => skills => language you can see xps of languages. Example if your c# has 2000 xp and you challenge with someone ho has 100 xp. When you win yo get 1 xp, when you fail it's -32 xp. Your opponent gets 32 xp. To avoid that choose someone with equivalent xps.
