Can i create a webpage with the following conditions below(description)?

Whenever i open it, a prompt will come and I will enter some text. But the text should be then displayed on the page. And also the MAIN thing that if I open that webpage again it should contain that text. I know Javascript. Somehow it must have edited the html code but how? please help me if possible in Javascript.
