Maybe start with something easier then like c#, Java, or Python. Or start with web development? HTML, CSS, then eventually Javascript

No you don't 'need' to. Just optional, as those languages are often considered to be easier. If you think you are ready for the programming languages then go for one of the first 3 I gave, If c++ is to hard. A lot of beginner's have been starting with Python. C# and Java are fairly similar in syntax, so learning one will get you far in the other. Generally what the languages are used for: c# - Used in Unity (3d/2d game maker). I don't know much about what c# is used for, more info here https://softwareengineering.stackexchange.com/questions/125712/for-what-reasons-should-i-choose-c-over-java-and-c (Apparently it's the best with .net framework) Java - Commonly used for Android apps (probably what was used to make SoloLearn (the app)) Python - Web/Software Development, not sure how many games use Python. Maybe also AI. C++ is considered more difficult because you need to deal with pointers/memory leaks directly. Though, it's probably the most dominant language in the gaming industry (For other reasons/ it's avantages).
