Do you agree or disagree that programming can be compiled in a way that encourages people to learn using positive output?

Different people require different ways to be encouraged, but generally, I agree.

James, I was looking for my code sample that I wrote, but basically I'm asking if we as programmers can encourage learning by inputing positive outputs to our code. For instance, if someone is answering questions, instead of "right" or "wrong" basic output, we could be more creative like "Hi 5 Superstar!", "you are amazing" or "don't give up", "Even Nikola Tesla and Henry Ford didn't get it right on the first (or second) try!". Does that clear up my question some?

Hatsy, thanks for responding. Programming is stereotyped as sport of the introvert, highly intelligent, hacker type, but in reality we have a variety of personalities. I work with C++, so it's input, output. People fear what they don't understand, but programming covers a lot of disciplines and I found learning a little distracting based on "right" or "wrong". Comfort is built through conversation and learning is encouraged by positive, creative responses.
