Which is good for server side scripting, php or python django and why?

If you want use Python shared hosting, you can go to pythonanywhere.com ^^ ( not limited to Django, but provide also Flask, Bottle... ;) )

Php is the most common server side language and the most older, Python ( or other languages with their web sever frameworks as Java, Ruby, JS... ) are more recently designed. All are "good" for server side scripting:P
