VB.Net Practicality

Since according to what someone told me that developing in Visual Studio is now free (community edition). Is it practical (career opportunities) to stick with it or is it better to go with open source prog. lang. like Python? As what I heard if you want VS, you need to be with C# and not VB.net but base on my experience .net is easier like Python than C#. Please give me some advice.

It's all a matter of personal preference Python and Ruby have their own charm If you want to follow the crowd, your choice is Java If you want an emerging language, javascript and nodeJS Depends on your preference 😀

alright, because I saw recently that Microsoft is attempting to do cross platform compatibility (android and iOS) on their visual studio so I'm wondering if vb.net will grow it's demand in the market
