Array indexes

Question

Want to pass user's value to array and then saving it into daabase through php.
In my code I am getting int value from function and storing it in variable, like count and now I want to use that count in index of array will that work?
var sale[count] =document.getElementById("sale(count)"); will this work if not give me alternative.
