Should I learn HTML or JavaScript?

Hi, I always wanted to learn JavaScript but the app says that I need to have some basic HTML knowledge. I don't know what to do, I already started learning HTML but should I learn Javascript now or wait?

If you want to use JS for web development - for sure you 100%NEED html knowledge...and css too and only after go to JS.

Why? Cause JS(and JQ) manipulate html elements and css(using css selectors too),you'll just need to undestand html and how DOM works...and how css and it's selectors works...

Actually, you could study both if you have knowledge in the basic HTML. When you are studying JavaScript, you can always go back to HTML to review or to take a glimpse of HTML. HTML is easy to understand, by the way. That's why I managed to study both at the same time.
