What @OM was saying is that C is a subset of C++. He wasn't trying to undermine the importance of C.

I know that "C" language is good to control hardware as it is close to machine languages

C++ is second version of C (C is named C because previous versions were A and B but not released) So if you learn C++ you automatically learn C. Learn C++ without any worry Only 3-5 day course. What more do you want?
