Must every programmer Learn C Programming language?

I hear experienced programmers say that every programmer must know C Language. They say C is truth.

@Erick you do not need to learn C.

If you really wanted to learn C it would help you will programming C++, in the long run.

The C for C++ is useful, when you are good enough with the C++ basics.

The C++ course here will not teach you how to use C with C++.

some might say that, but I don't think it is essential unless you want to look at assembler stuff and stuff that goes deep

@Erick C++ is based on C and is compatible with C, but they are different languages, the syntax is different and so on

But C/C++ are the same. And they are the best languages if am not wrong.

Most of C's syntax is also C++ syntax. Right?
