Can a "Noob" Complete a Challenge?
Is it useful to enter challenges when you haven't yet completed the course? I am in the second quarter of the Python course and totally bombed my first challenge. I figured it would at least show me some new things and give me a feel for my current standing in my journey.

The only downside to losing a challenge is losing xp. It looks like you want to learn, so XP shouldn't matter. What's the harm in trying challenges then? If you can't figure it out you can also ask if you write down the question for us :)
Most challenges do not involve the things that come very late in the course anyway. Although finishing will certainly help, as you may not know what the challenge is asking, you can still learn from the questions being asked.

Better complete the course first then your score will be better.

Thank you, Faith! This is the answer I was hoping for. I didn't know I would lose XP... I guess it doesn't really matter. I did learn some things from the one challenge.
Yuan, thank you Will definitely hold off until I complete the course.
This community is very helpful, I am sure I will have more questions going forward.

@Eric Not all the time, but you can. Xp earned is mostly based on the difference in Xp between you and the opponent. So if I have more Xp in Java than you, I'm expected to win against you, so if I lose I will certainly lose XP. I've earned XP in some challenges even when loosing though, since the other guy had way more XP in that language.
