To be honest tho, if you are as you say, actually at level 0.. I would consider Python. Java is a difficult language. Python is one of the easiest languages and a great place to get comfortable with coding concepts.

I get the desire to focus on your goal of app development, but all good things are built on a solid foundation.

That is what I did. Honestly if you learn Java, C# becomes VERY easy to learn. they are almost identical languages.
