How Ruby is helpful in Big Data Hadoop?

You can use Ruby with Hadoop (e.g. write a mapper/reducer in it). Don't think it's any more helpful than any other language

Ruby can be used to write the map reduce programs through which your whole bunch of data will be processed.You can also use Java,perl,python to write the same.
