Small salary for a lot of work generally implies limited responsabilities and easy replacemet possibility for the employee carrying it out.
A good salary often comes with a lot more responsibilities/risks diversified into many fields of operation, that are overlooked by the common employee that doesn't see the whole picture.
Of course there may be some exceptions to this rule but generally speaking is difficoult to get paid without any reasons.

Welcome to the real world :) There is a gluttony of employees on one side and a gluttony of problems and therein opportunities in the form of wastes, emissions, climate change and such. We live in this paradox
