Meaning of data type in other programming languages?

I have read about data types in Database Management system in depth and I want to know that Can I use the data types the same way as do in DBMS; means all the data types are same in all the programming languages?

Nope, there are severe differences. Nevertheless, there are standardized data types as float and double that implement the IEEE 754 standard.
