When should I yse C++ or Python?

I know, two powerful languages. But I'm still having this question, which project should I use python or C++, or Python, can simply substitute C++ in almost all fields?

In my case I would use Python to create my software.
But if I need a part of the code to be faster than what Python go
I would port that part of the code to C++.
