What features would be cool for my game?

Currently it is 1 room with 5 enemy battles and 5 coins that respawn, joystick and simple incomplete menu. Not much. But before I start developing it further, I want an idea of what kind of things would make it more fun, playable, functional, aesthetically pleasing, whatever. Any feedback I get I will take seriously, even negative criticism, to improve my skills and code. Thanks folks.

Update 1.6. Available now. Be the white square and defeat the blue dots. ======= *D-Pad *Random Battles *Larger Map, Smaller Sprites *New Item: BluPotion to recover MP. *Joystick removed for simpler UX. *Menu Screen removed until developed further to include more functionality

Just my opinion... but I think with this type of game I would go for a more 'Rogue'-like ANSI/Ascii look, feel, aesthetic. Eg. Brogue, NetHack http://alternativeto.net/software/brogue/

@Mubashir D-Pad is updated for you. I think it looks and works a lot better. Still need to click for every step at the moment. Working that out. @Edward I have a code I borrowed from Kuba that will print out maps in that hashmap format. I don't want my game to look like that per se, but later some of my dungeons may have that feel #UpdateInfo Joystick Display Improvements Map Menu Functionality: Party Screen and Usable Inventory
