Depend on your prefs. I started netbeans then intellij and thouht its best because it is really smart. But these days I am back at netbeand and use Intellij only for super fast code writing. From my point of view both are pretty strong.

Intellij, and when u want it free, it's eclipse. But for students, intellij is also free :)

I really like javaeditor. Because the UI it's very simple and the program is extremely light. Also it's for 🆓
