@4rontender- Most people here are interested in App + Web dev. The younger ones are interested in hacking e.tc. But u know a couple of us in academia ...we need programs that can be tweaked here && there in other to calibrate it to sooth our quest.

I love web too. I believe its more versatile && ubiquitous.

@4rontender... I've always love programming. Infact my first encounter with programming was in 1997- basic and fortran..was fascinated with the Ms dos prompt, Lotus and a whole lot then. But couldn't make it to study computer science- no good resources and we don't have the internet then. But nowadays d resources are everywhere. I must confess Sololearn has rekindle the lost love I had for programming. I'm 37 now and I dont mind still learning. Its never say never my friend.

And by the way Python helps in the area of data science.
