Pros:
Multi-platform
Your code becomes really compact after you learn it
Can do pretty much anything.
After you learn java you can learn other languages with ease
Cons:
REALLY DIFFICULT TO LEARN.
It can do so many things that you can get lost in the decision.
Many people are already trying to work with java and you can't find a job
with java unless you are really good at it
C++
Pros:
Less competition when trying to find a work
It being only for windows makes it perfect if you want to work on microsoft
or any other company that makes programs for windows
A bit easier to understand
Cons:
It limits you in what you can do
Easier to understand means that the keywords used is a lot more like real life,
but that makes codes larger
TL;DR
Learn a bit of C++. If you think you have guts enough and you can spend 3 hours
or more a day going for java is really more worth it.
