i am now in collage plz tell me some programming language which i will need afterwards,i will start learning it from now

in colleges, if u choose cs u will be taught data structure and descrete maths.. so learn them properly..

unless u understand how the whole thing flows.. the pointer the data structure the file handling.. u won't learn the Computer science.. future of c never ends.. it is mostly used to make compiler and os.. and much more applications..
and if u want to start with high level language then go with python or java

What do you mean by serious programming. as per my knowledge I think that serious programming can be done using any language in fact c and Java are one of the most used languages in the world C is used to create operating systems and other stuff which which are needed to operate very fastly using very less memory so you can't say that in C or java you can't do some serious programming.
But if you want to do something extra accept your college curriculum then I think that you should choose a language which suits you best like Python,Ruby maybe some other languages and then go and learn algorithms and data structures. for your query of serious programming this is what you need to do algorithm and data structures are a must do without algorithm and DS you can do serious programming.
for the long run learn to use GIT and GitHub then start contributing to some open source projects which will help you build your portfolio which in the long run help you in getting a very nice job in a very good company like Google on Facebook maybe some others.

I didn't say that start practicing algorithms right from the starting I said that learn a programming language of your interest whether it BC Java Python Ruby anything us learn the basics on the fundamentals because the main thing is that language syntax doesn't matter. once you learn the basics of one language you will be able to apply it on the other languages because only the syntax is different.
only after learning the fundamentals of a language only then go for practicing algorithms and other things.
