What language should I learn?

So I was reading through the posts and a I was wondering what language is the best one to learn, many people will probably say that all languages are good equally, but I want to hear your thoughts, I'm currently learning C++ but I haven't learned to much yet so I hope this will help me decide to either keep learning the same language or change so another one.

There are probably as many opinions about which language is best for beginners as there are languages to choose from. And the options change all of the time. When we asked this question two years ago, Python came out on top as the clear winner. Obviously we can't list all of the many, many choices available. So pick from the list, or let us know if missed the one you'd recommend.  Well Python is best. ....

What are your goals? The fundamental concepts and theory you learn as a beginner will be applicable throughout most languages regardless, but some languages have different applications which they are better suited for/a community exists for.
