Scoring in challenge

Question

I have a problem with scoring, in the phone with android wrote my level 7, and ios level 6. And, when I challenge anybody, writes - the winner gets, for example, 5 points, but if I lose, it increase 20-30 points, is that normal? I understand so, to the winner - 5, then to me it takes -5, and not 30.

It is normal that someone with low XP gets more points when winning against someone with more experience in that language (which is not necessary linked to its level btw).
The scoring system is based on the Elo one used in chess.
