what does it mean that documents purpose comments /** */

Question

I was reading one book for java there I seen. that 3rd types of comments as we already known two types 1. is. // 2. is /* */
but if any one known about use of that 3.rd and type & how it's different rather than any other two!??? help me to figure it out!!!

With the third type you can automaticly create documentations oft your code. If you run special programs they look in these comments for keywords and creating an documentation of your classes and their methods and add your written comments to it. The first two types of comments doesn't contribute to this documentation.
