Can i make a slide show images without using java script

Yes, you can... with few limitations, but JS introduce also few limitations ^^ (not available content for users without JS, even if rarely, lagging computers with not high memory and cpu capacities...).

Considerating a pure Css slide show, you must choose between implementing command buttons OR auto slide... That's the reason of my code linked by @Maz: pure Css slide show with buttons, adding some JS to handle not required features (user doesn't care if he cannot benefits from them, but give cool enhancement if JS available).

As said by Maz, << there are pros and cons >>: my point of view about this, is that you must use Css in all case possible, and use JS only as complement in context of web site... In context of web app, you cannot imagine a JS free version, but you'll get more cpu ressources for you JS app if you can unload the JS thread for task that can be handled in Css rendering engine thread ;)

Not the best thing in my opinion, Javascript allows you to make things easier and manage better the code, there are pros and cons, @visph made a solution in pure CSS, so... it is possible!
