What is Laravel framework for PHP?

I have read about laravel, that it is a framework for PHP. I know and have used frameworks for CSS and JavaScript such as Bootstrap and jQuery respectively.But I am not able to understand laravel.
I already have good experience of PHP and MySQL.

in easy words it is a ready to use library for php projects

with laravel you can make a project without knowing security database connection etc

you can make full featured website if you do not want to use joomla or wordpress in example

for understanding laravel you also need to know advanced php, oop, sql. so learn them first.
