Qultz teory (python)

Question

Qultz teory is a teory which says that each number that is a double is divided by 2, and each a odd is duplucated by 3 and add 1, and so on, will finish at '1' number.
In the following code you can insert a number and check if it does, with calculations.

There is a recent boost in popularity of this theory as

There is a work in progress of how to find no of steps a number needs to reach 1.
Appears easy but there is a condition that find number of steps without actually undergoing each step
