How do you read (pronounce) a = 5 in English? I think I remember "a gets five"?

This is to distinguish equals and assignment

If I say "a = 5" as "a equals five", how do I say "a == 5" ? How to distinguish the pronouncing of equals and assignment in English ?

a equals 5 "a gets 5" is more of an R language term (R variables are defined as "a <- 5")

a variable is basically a container that holds values in memory. it could hold one value permanently or could be updated.
