How can I start making apps? I'm a beginner! How can I learn faster?

1. Learn a programming language
2. Practice writing code with the language
3. Have an idea of what application to create
4. Collect all that you need to implement your idea (text editor/IDE, books, coding partner, mentor, etc.)
5. Start to develop your application
6. Review your code, test it, correct mistakes
7. Ask your friends to try it for second opinion
8. Voila! you have an application of your own

thanks Ipang...i'm be joining Bachelors program in Comp Engineering soon! but i was confused as to what shall i start from? of course i'm learning JS and Html5+Css but is there no way i can rake a shortcut? like learn real fast and be as more effective!
