Incorrect. While mining is definitely out of the question if you're not in China. I know people who've made loads of cash over a 5 year period buying-selling and implementing blockchain based solutions for businesses + . Furthermore , the technology itself is quite revolutionary. And THAT is the point I would argue. You still have time to get on the blockchain train as far as making $ off it is concerned. As far as the socio-economic impact and implications of the technology and more specificaly bitcoin ( which has been valued at around 4000$USD for several months now despite major busts by F*B*I &al. ) go, the train is just ramping up steam. I would say learn everything you can about it. Short answer to initial question = I think it's great.

Goddamn ... I remember when it was at around 450$ in 2016 ... a guy I know was telling me to invest, I wasn't sure ... then it went to 800$, now I know a guy who's fuckin' rich ...
