C# in HTML combination & web development

Question

so I have been working towards learning C# and I'm finally starting to get a good grasp on some things. I also just started to learn HTML and of course CSS will be my next step. I was wondering if these programming languages can effectively be used to create web pages such as a blog or forum? I know there are other languages that are meant for this type of thing but I would like to know if this combination of languages would still be a good way to do that kind of thing through Visual Studio. thanks!
