Should i take courses of what I see in class?

I started the Java developer career recently, and in my school I see Java, javascript, SQL and others. So, can I overtake or do you recommend me to go on par with my classes?

Now that depends on you, it would help you in class if you take the same course, while it won't hurt to learn something new.

Yes it depends on you. But you won't get as far as you can if you wait until someone teaches you.
