Why are there so many free coding apps?

I'm certainly glad for the ability to learn to code for free but I am noticing more and more free coding apps is the reason for this a forecasted shortage of future coders?

Learning programming helps you to not only become a programmer, but also to excel in whatever career that you aspire to pursue, because the core of programming is problem-solving, and problem-solving will always be needed.

because if you call it a problem solving app less people would look into it :)
