try using code playground or using the try it now option in the lessons. they both really help with understanding.

also if you install an ide on your computer this will also help you in your learning.

if you have windows try visual studio.
if you have linux try code::blocks.

there are many alternatives to these ide's but these are pretty good in my opinion.

btw. c++ is not the sort of language that you can master overnight but it is very powerful and can do alot.
