Python was built on readability and simplicity. Thats probably why you hear that its easiest to hack in python.

read the SOCKET module and read some #hacking_with_python_tutorial
and you are good to go at least you can hack a ftp webserver

also python can be used to ftp,email,WiFi,zip
cracker........ overall it is easy
