It's like learning to drive a car - you can watch it a hundred or a thousand times. It still doesn't mean you know how to drive.

Regardless the language, you should start by creating something really simple, like printing a phrase or a result of some mathematical calculation.

Then, add up user input into it and make the code behave differently depending on the input. And so on, play with your code, experiment, make errors and learn from them. That's the best way.
