Ruby or Elixir ?

Question

I just heard that Elixir will replace Ruby in the future because it born from Erlang philosophy and run on Erlang VM. Jose Valim was a former Cor developer of Rails now he develop Elixir framework ,Pheonix. anyone experiences with Elixir? how it works?
