how to host website

so i just got my own domain adress but my problem is i dont know how to manage it, for example how can i add an html code to it?

usually a hosting provider gives admin credential to access a cpanel web app from where you can access all the functionality you are allowed to use: mailservers, databases, subdomains, ftp, htaccess folders ecc..
ftp allows you to transfer the files from your computer to the server. you can transfer the web pages you created to the htdocs folder on the server.
same thing can be done via cpanel webapp.
once the transfer is done the pages are accessible via your domain

hosting a website consists of 2 sections,a domain name 'www.website.com' or a sub domain name example ''subdomain.website.com'', and a hosting space,which is the storage area where u put ur HTML code,alongside ur css files and images etc.. most hosts provide an admin panel to manage this.but u can also use ftp to upload ur files to ur hosting space.
