or is JavaScript enough considering node.js? What are the pros and cons of both languages?

Node.JS is a framework for backend already, but what is wrong with learning more? I think you should try to learn PHP and try Laravel because it is a PHP framework with the best documentation, so it should be easier for people to learn. About the cons and pros, i'm not really sure because i have not try Node.JS yet and have not learn JavaScript a lot, hope this answer your question.
