Nav, Div and Span; Class and Id.

Question

Can anyone explain the diferences in use, and how to work with them (examples too)? I still don't understand when to use them (nav, div and span) and the same with Class and Id. Please help (:

Thanks DarkSec, but honestly it's not answering my question 100% though. As for what I understood, the 'class' and 'id' attributes are exactly the same and there is absolutly no difference between those two. Same with 'div' and 'span', but what about 'nav'? What is 'nav' for? Is there actually no difference between those tags and attributes?

Thanks again Dark, but once more, there is still one question to be answered: Is there any difference between the <div> and <span> elements, and also the "class" and "id" attributes?
