Can computer and chemistry go hand in hand ?

Now a days everything is going fine for computer lovers but one thing we are having chemistry in our class courses. Accordingly can chemistry be used in field of computer please complete my query

It is possible, but not only with basic of programming, with the simple algortms.
Better create it later with the higher mastering of programming as the knowledge base.
It means, evidence of chemical elements and compound (in dabase for example),for each item it's formula, known =possible reactions with another elements or coumpund, with thei formulas, equations and so on, their other properties (as color, weight, temperature of reaction.
And till this evidence began to code some chemostry computing
