Sure. I've got a great IT job right now and I don't have a degree. Just teach yourself, you can learn EVERYTHING that they're teaching at any college/university by just looking for the resources online.

Btw, why did you drop out?

if you already know Python, or after you will learn it, search for some small projects to write. after you get things right, you can try some programming competitions! (there are some od them out there!!) or try to stsrt your programming job at Fiverr! this is a great place for freelancers. also you can search for a practice in some companies near you
