Computer Algorithm vrs Programmer’s Creativity

Is creativity alone enough for making one a good programmer without too much learning and application of the ‘known’ algorithms used in computer programming?

You need to have some knowledge of the fundamentals required for a programmer. If deep analysis of algorithms is not your thing, there are always roles like graphic designer, web artist, GUI designer, architect and many others.
