Has anyone tried out Advent of Code? To sharpen their skills?

I tried doing day one the first half and couldn't do it. I looked online and noticed Ruby was mostly used to solve it.

I haven't learned Ruby, so I didn't understand.

@KING It's a series of small programming puzzles online. I did the 2016 puzzles and found out I couldn't get past Day 1.

So I guess it's just me whose tried it before. To bad it would be extremely fun if it wasn't so difficult.
