I have a book of php written in 2002 . Will it be useful to read ?

A lot has changed in PHP-land, most notably the introduction of object-oriented programming patterns like classes, and things like closures and reflection. All of that wasn't in PHP back then!

I'm sure you can find a couple of useful things in that book of yours but I'm also sure that you can find better tutorials online.
