It depends on what you want to do. I think this is the most important when choosing a language.
C++, C# and Java are most popular, but their syntax is not too simple. They are mainly used to create apps for computers and mobile phones.
JavaScript is mainly used for front-end development in Web, PHP - for back-end development. In my opinion, their syntax not very complicated.
Ruby and Python have a simple syntax, can be used for both apps and web.

If your a beginner I would suggest ruby because it is very simple and easy to learn, but you can also make very cool and complex things. Also when I first got solo learn that was the best code I could find.

There isnt any way to learn anything whitout hardwork. Why? Easy, because if you want to be a good developer, you must to learn a lot of theory, then practice a lot of hours programming different programs. You always learn something new.
