Where is the best place to start building a well rounded coding foundation that will hopefully support a robust skill set?
Brand new super rusty coder. Learned html, some java, and some c in college like 8 years ago. what first, second, third languages and so on. Any serious positive input will be super appreciated. thanks!

The most important part is that you are able to google your problems, and that you know how to read and understand documentation. If you want do do some java get acquainted with docs.oracle.com for example.
And of course coding lots to see what works.
As far as languages go, it depends on what you want to do. If you just want to program for the sake of programming, you can check out C++, Haskell, Prolog, LISP to cover a really broad spectrum of programming! They're completely different from one another but they'll make you write better code for sure, in any language.
The only thing the internet isn't too good at is computer science theory, for that I like to go on IRC to get pointers from the smart guys :)
