How many SVGs are too many?

Question

As a graphic designer and a self thaught programmer, I find it faster to draw a section in Illustrator and link it to the website, than programming the respective section. With SVG, the result is a responsive website, with pixel perfect visuals. My question, as stated above, is how much of the website can be a svg file? What is the difference between classic html/css/js coding and drawing a svg? Is the site missing important features because of svg use? Thank you, kind people!
